1. Terms & Conditions

1.1 Who we are

Divine Dangles ("we", "us", "our") is a South African small business based in Nelspruit (Mbombela), Mpumalanga, creating handmade polymer clay jewellery. We operate the Divine Dangles Club, a monthly earring subscription service, through this website. You can contact us at info@divinelightcreations.co.za or on 064 500 3365.

1.2 The subscription service

The Divine Dangles Club is a recurring monthly subscription. Each month we hand-curate a surprise selection of handmade earrings based on your chosen package and, where possible, the style preferences in your profile. By subscribing you agree to these terms.

• Style selections are preferences only and cannot be guaranteed every month.
• Every package is hand-curated, making each month's selection unique. Items shown on this website are examples and not a promise of specific designs.
• "Retail value" refers to the approximate value of the earrings included, excluding packaging.
• Packaging may vary slightly throughout the year.

1.3 Pricing and billing

Subscription packages are billed monthly in advance in South African Rand (ZAR) at the price shown at the time you subscribe, plus your chosen delivery fee. Payments are processed securely by Paystack via recurring card billing. We never see or store your card details.

Your monthly amount is fixed when you subscribe. If our prices or delivery fees change in future, the new prices apply to new subscriptions only, unless we notify you and you agree otherwise.

1.4 Delivery and collection

• Courier — delivery anywhere in South Africa via our courier partner at the fee shown at checkout (currently R130/month).
• Local delivery — within Nelspruit at the fee shown at checkout (currently R40/month).
• Collection — free, at CRC Mbombela on Sundays or by arrangement with us.

Delivery timeframes depend on our courier partner and your location. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to your address or on collection.

1.5 Materials & allergy notice

Our earrings are handmade using polymer clay and a variety of metal findings. While some components may be stainless steel or gold-plated, we cannot guarantee that all earrings are hypoallergenic. If you have sensitive ears or known metal allergies, please keep this in mind before subscribing or purchasing.

1.6 Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate contact, delivery and payment information, and keep it up to date.
• Ensure sufficient funds are available for your monthly billing date. Repeated failed payments may result in your subscription being suspended or cancelled.

1.7 Intellectual property

All designs, product photography, branding and content on this website belong to Divine Dangles and may not be copied or reproduced for commercial purposes without our written permission.

1.8 Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African law. Subject to that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription month in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

1.9 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies, and material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email.

1.10 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

2.1 Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel at any time — there are no lock-in contracts. To cancel, email us at info@divinelightcreations.co.za with your name and club reference (it looks like DD-XXXXXXXXXXXX).

2.2 Requesting a refund

All refund requests must be sent by email to info@divinelightcreations.co.za with your name, club reference, and the reason for the request.

2.3 What qualifies for a refund

• Damaged or faulty items — if your earrings arrive damaged or with a manufacturing fault, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we will repair, replace or refund in line with the Consumer Protection Act.
• Charged after valid cancellation — if you were billed for a month after your cancellation took effect, that payment will be refunded in full.
• Non-delivery — if a package is confirmed lost in transit, we will replace it or refund that month.

2.4 What does not qualify

• Curated selections that simply don't match your taste — every box is a hand-curated surprise, and style preferences are taken into account but not guaranteed (see clause 1.2).
• Packages already delivered in months prior to a cancellation request.
• Delivery delays caused by the courier or by incorrect address details provided by the subscriber.

2.5 Failed and disputed payments

If a monthly payment fails, Paystack may retry it. If payment cannot be collected, we may pause or cancel the subscription. Please contact us before raising a bank chargeback — most issues are resolved much faster directly.

3. Privacy & Data Protection Policy

We respect your privacy and process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). Divine Dangles is the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website.

3.1 What we collect and why

• Identity & contact details (name, surname, email, mobile number) — to manage your subscription and communicate with you about it.
• Delivery address (courier subscribers only) — to deliver your packages.
• Style profile (findings, colours, styles, earring preference, notes) — to curate your monthly selection.
• Payment and transaction records — subscription reference, amounts and payment status received from Paystack. We never receive or store your card number.

3.2 How we use your information

We use your information only to operate the Divine Dangles Club: processing payments, curating and delivering your packages, sending service emails (registration, welcome, order status, billing issues), and responding to your requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we will not send marketing communications without your consent.

3.3 Who we share it with

• Paystack — our payment processor, for billing your subscription.
• Courier partners — your name, address and phone number, only as needed to deliver your package.
• Our website hosting provider — where our systems and database are securely hosted.

We do not share your information with anyone else unless required by law.

3.4 Security and retention

Your information is stored in a secured database with access limited to Divine Dangles. We keep subscription and transaction records for as long as needed to operate your subscription and to meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

3.5 Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to request deletion where we are not legally required to keep it. You may also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@divinelightcreations.co.za.

If you believe your information has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

3.6 Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only technically necessary session data is used for the operation of the site.
